In 2019, the Netherlands’ largest companies joined forces to unlock AI’s full potential. They saw AI as a game-changer for improving lives and driving innovation. Success required collaboration across the entire country. That’s when Kickstart AI emerged. Our job was clear: build a team for an organization with no established brand. No people in place. Not even a bank account. Just potential.

By 2022, Kickstart AI had transformed into an independent non-profit, backed by powerhouses Ahold Delhaize, ING, KLM, and NS. Today, 20 exceptional professionals lead initiatives that strengthen the Dutch AI ecosystem and create meaningful societal impact.
